Assenti's Pasta is the only known location to carry this particular product in San Diego.
One of the oldest and most typical products of the island's gastronomy, Abbamele is obtained by prolonged cooking of the honeycomb containing honey and pollen with the addition of orange or lemon peel. It has always been used in local cuisine to flavor first courses and dishes or to make desserts.
The result is a deep and dark complex with a concentrated taste; not overyly sweet, toasty and full notes of espresso and caramel.
It's lovley acompanied with soft cheeses like ricotta, and delicious on wide range of desserts and even drizzled on ice cream.
