How to Preserve Fresh Pasta

Refrigeration

Fresh pasta is perishable and must be refrigerated. It will keep for up to 7 days from the date of manufacturing when wrapped and sealed in its original packaging.

Freezing Pasta

Freezing fresh pasta is an excellent method for extending its shelf life.

Due to the extremely low water content in fresh pasta, the typical molecular and structural damage that occurs when food is frozen is largely avoided. Our frozen pasta is indistinguishable from fresh—we promise!

When cooking from frozen (do not defrost), place the pasta directly into boiling water. For each pound of frozen pasta, add an additional 1-2 quarts of water and extend the cooking time by 1-2 minutes. Then, follow the specific cooking instructions for your chosen pasta.
