Grisi comes from the greek krysos, meaning "gold" which in the Byzantine period became, grysos, meaning "land of gold" from the name of the ancient manor house beating heart of the family.
Nero d'Avola is one of the oldest Sicilian indigenous grape varieties. This wine is made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes which gives off sweet aromas of ripe fruit and exhibits a ful, enveloping tatse and great persistence.
