Pesto sauces are traditionally made from blending fresh ingredients with a mortar and pestal (hence the name Pesto) until all of the flavors marry. The Genovese (people of the Genoa Province) perfected their particular version to what most recognize today. Assenti's Pasta uses fresh basil, garlic, pinenuts, Romano Cheese and olive oil to create our flavorful pesto sauces. All of Assenti's Pastas Homemade Pesto Sauces are made from blending fresh basil with garlic, Parmesan cheese and toasted pinenuts.
